Tully Tuesdays Volume 39

I’m not gonna talk about it.

First off shoutout to the Northern Highlands 8th Grade Senior football team for winning their League Championship game this weekend. My Cousin Cole is a stud QB who helped raise the trophy. If I could go back to 8th grade football I’d do it in a second, and laugh now thinking about how fun it would be to get everyone together and talk about the not so glory days.

I took for granted the Andover Football system growing up, we had 7 teams of 40 or so kids and played each other. Every time I see someone I grew up with that’s where the conversation goes immediately talking about some of the battles back in middle school. What an awesome time and it’s a real shame that has faded in most communities. Some of the most fun I ever had and knowing everybody you were playing against made it even more fun.

Tough L for my Ravens on Sunday. We gotta talk about Justin Tucker, in my 4 weeks as a Ravens fan I’ve really had to take a hard look at this guy. He is just not getting it done. They won’t make a change and probably shouldn’t given what’s out there on the market, but I’m worried he’s gonna cost us in a big spot.

I’m pumped to be making my first trip back to Columbus in a few years to see the Buckeyes take on Indiana on Saturday. Should be a banger of a game and I’m looking forward to hitting some of my favorite spots to eat while I’m in town and throwing some beers back with the boys.

I have a hit list for meals, a couple must haves for me in Columbus

Marcellas Meatball in the short north. A Top 5 appetizer in the game. Gotta do it.

Skyline- this might be a solo mission because I don’t think my dad and brother have the kind of game to go on the road and battle at Skyline

Buckeye Donuts. I used to get a donut after exams in school as a reward for finishing, sometimes I would get one because it was Tuesday.

Coors Light in the parking lot.

If we wanna get nuts I might do a bad decision late night Milkshake from UDF but that’s the list for now.

I went back a few years ago for an OSU Penn State game and used a buddies ID to get into the gym. It was one of the strangest experiences of my life. I had an overwhelming feeling of being in the wrong place, a total out of body experience that scared the shit out of me. Hoping to avoid that this time around more than 6 years removed from being in school.

The Cowboys have forced my hand into pushing all my chips onto the Buckeye table, and this game Saturday is going to be a great test to see if they have what it takes to make a deep run. I have never needed a destruction of Michigan more than I need it this year. I’m not looking ahead, and I hope the team isn’t either, but there has been such little noise about the Game that I just have to remind myself that retribution is coming, and hopefully it’s going to be the destruction of all destructions.

Short one this week, next week we will be redrafting Thanksgiving food

Til Next Week
