Tully Tuesday Volume 54 Some Random thoughts through 2 weeks of fatherhood

Be on the lookout for the RoadMap Technologies TrailBlazer March Madness pool coming next week!

How we doing folks? You been sleeping? Good for you.

I have been training Navy Seal style for my overnight 12-6 watch. I finally outpaced my water with coffee and now I’m in the dialing back stage of the coffee life. I felt like Will Ferrell in Kicking & Screaming for a week there.

This baby is fantastic. She sleeps great for decent stretches, eats well, and rarely gets upset. I’ve read that the anger develops towards the middle of month 2, so stay tuned for the sanity checks in April. She currently sounds like a lawn mower, which is very manageable.

PGA 2k25 dropping last week was very clutch for me. I’ve been ripping through the Career mode overnight while the Baby sleeps in the bassinet at my feet. The game is much better than the last iteration, if you’re not in a killing time, trying to be as quiet as possible phase of your life, maybe you can wait until it goes on sale to buy. It’s pretty easy offline but a fun play. I will have to time baby #2 around a CFB drop.

If anyone is interested, I have two Loge tickets available for sale to the Celtics vs OKC tomorrow night. Just a side note.

Obviously I’ve spent a lot of my time thinking about work and day-dreaming about Golf. I think I am finally making the career altering change and submitting myself to a LAB putter this season. The new OZ is exactly what I’ve been looking for, and multiple golf store trips have all but affirmed my love. Just a matter of when.

That being said, I have a Bettinardi Queen B6 and a Scotty Cameron 5.5 Phantom with a Stability shaft that I would be willing to part with for a fair but affordable price if any of the readers want a new flatstick. Both have made plenty of putts, but the heart wants what it wants.

Speaking of Golf, let me take a minute to talk about how much I appreciate the ESPN+ coverage of PGA Tour events. I watched the API basically start to finish this past weekend. I was able to pick my featured groups, bet their under/overs and get 5 hours of supervised baby time with something fun going on in the background. There aren’t a lot of commercials, and you get to see the course hole by hole.

I have also been absolutely demolishing Youtube Golf videos. Primarily the Bob Does Sports guys, I have almost watched everyone. Of all the schmucks they are my favorite, very down to earth and goofy, but god damn that dude Fat Perez is mesmerizing. He is so good and his stature is breathtaking. If you’re not familiar, check out their match with Keegan Bradley. Legit good golf and very entertaining. Keegan is the man too.

For family members reading, if you have been waiting for us to settle in to reach out, feel free to fire away, we are around and open for FaceTime business, the space was much appreciated by the way.

My apartment is 200+ years old. Very cozy home, we love it. So does a single field mouse who I have spotted during my graveyard shifts. I have 4 traps out and I am on a mission to put him in the ground to protect my family. Check in next week hopefully for a memorial tribute to this son of a bitch.

Alright a few sports takes to round us out.

NFL Free Agency is always kind of bullshit, the teams that sign everybody never work out. The Eagles last year had a great core and supplemented with some great FA talent but Saquon was their only big money splash.

That being said the Commanders way of doing business now is annoying to me. They have their shit completely figured out. Getting Deebo and Tunsil for basically nothing are great moves and moves that winning teams make.

I’ve grown accustomed to not giving a shit about Free Agency particularly because Old Balls Jones hasn’t signed a Free Agent for over $10M a year since he signed Greg Hardy in 2015. That’s insane. Don’t you think if you sucked for 30 years you would try something different? Don’t you think you would see other successful teams way of operating business and bring in some of their BrainTrust to eliminate the incestual group think that has plagued the Franchise my entire lifetime? Just an idea.

Thanks for tuning in,

til next week.
