I don’t know where to start. Ohio State is days away from a National Championship, the NFL Playoffs are about to get real, and Jerry Jones took a week to fire his Head Coach when he could’ve spent the week interviewing successors for Mike McCarthy. Good, Bad, and the Ugly

The Good

Ryan Day has shown exactly who he is. He’s a psycho MF who knows when to turn the dials. Sure there’s a Michigan problem and that will get solved in due time. This playoff run was exactly what he needed and the team has taken on his identity. That game against Texas was as much fun of a 4th quarter I’ve had as a fan. I never get plays like that Jack Sawyer play. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I was fairly confident after the disaster sweep play that Caleb Downs blew up that they were gonna stop Texas on that drive, but I was just sitting in stunned silence watching Jack Sawyer rip down the sideline for the clinching touchdown. I got 38 texts in the following 5 minutes. What a moment. God Damn I love football.

The Bad

The NFL has a talent gap at the top of the league, and it’s a coaching talent gap. Each game this weekend the team with the better coach one, even in the closest matchup which was Sean McVay vs Kevin O’Connell. Demeco Ryans over Harbaugh maybe is an upset in that regard, but both guys are really solid options. Look at the teams that missed the playoffs, is there a Coach you’d really want leading your team?

There’s a lot of bad in the NFL. Enough Bad that some even sneaks into the Playoffs, (cough Steelers & Bucs). The cream always rises to the top in the NFL, and it’s why teams like the Patriots were ready to jump ship and go after Mike Vrabel minutes after their season ended. You don’t get to the Championship round by accident, it’s why Mike McCarthy will be the Head Coach in Chicago or New Orleans by next week.

What there won’t be any more this season is bad games. The rest of the slate is loaded. All 4 games this weekends will be bangers. Texans Chiefs, Lions Commanders, Eagles Rams, and the marquee matchup of Bills and Ravens. The Commanders-Lions is the largest spread but the Commanders have that snake oil going on right now. They get the bounces, and Dan Quinn allows them to have every chance to get them. They won that game by being aggressive in spots Todd Bowles wouldn’t have dared to, and that’s why he has a tee time Saturday morning.

The Ugly

I don’t care who the Cowboys hire as Head Coach. Jerry Jones is such a problem. Dragging Mike McCarthy out for a whole week and not getting the opportunity to have interviews with the Playoff Coordinators invalidates the Coaching Search. Would they really hire Deion? I don’t think so. Would I love it? Absolutely. The Cowboys have done nothing but embarass themselves in my lifetime. If you’re gonna be the circus, march in the Elephants. Be the Biggest Circus of all time.

If they’re going to lose let’s lose spectactularly. I’m not interested in losing with Pete Carroll who I already cannot stand, I’m not interested with Doug Pederson who was run out of town 2 years after winning the Super Bowl for the first time ever in Philadelphia. Do something crazy. Go nuts. Get someone from San Francisco or LA that' I’ve never even heard of.

I’m so close to total apathy with the Cowboys because of Jerry Jones ineptitude and delusion in my lifetime, I’m here for the ride, but atleast throw some music on.

Til next week
