Weekend Thoughts

First off, this is the last week to get PreSnap Pro for under $100. We are 44-19 so far picking winners and on a heater with Totals. The Score Predictions will be moving behind the Pro wall as well, so if you want to try us out, Week 5 is the week.

I played bad in a golf tournament, what else is new. 76-77 without really any spectacular moments. Just gotta be better than that. Need to get better over the winter, hit more balls, workout a little more, and let it rip.

At least we didn’t tie. I don’t understand what happened Sunday night. The Cowboys quite literally when punch for punch with the Green Bay Packers, and both coaches contributed equally to the final score of 40-40. Dak Prescott is awesome, he played awesome, and I think him getting to play with CeeDee hurt is going to pay long term as he gets connected with George Pickens. Pickens took that game over and the NFL’s alleged #1 Defense had no way to stop him. I think the Cowboys won the tie? The Packers are supposed to be the NFL’s best, and they got shredded on defense. The Cowboys defense is so so so bad. I can’t believe they are this bad. And then I look at the roster and I can’t believe their not worse. I would’ve went for it in Overtime from the 5. You’re not getting a stop on defense. You have a better chance of getting a stop if they start inside their own 5. The Kickoff gives them the ball between the 20 and 40, and they did get the touchback after the kick, but Dak was playing his best and I would’ve loved to give him a chance to make a play to win the game. He might have played the best game of his career Sunday. He deserved a chance at a signature moment in that game.

They probably let up a TD on the otherside and the game comes down to a 2PC. But the Packers did run out of time. IDK. If I was Green Bay I have no doubt I’m going for the TD at the end, LaFluer seemed like he wasn’t inviting in a slight chance of not tying or winning the game.

The New OT is going to lead to multiple ties this season. The Cowboys have one and were very close in Week 2. I think it sucks. There shouldn’t be a clock if you are guaranteeing possessions for both teams. The Team with the ball is going squeeze the air out of the ball, and the Team who gets it second will match what they did most of the time. I hate it. Even the Super Bowl where they used this OT went into the 2nd OT period. It’s dumb. Just do college or have a Kicker Shootout at the end. There will be at least 3 ties this year.

They are Penn State. This is what Penn State is. Awesome game, great comeback, terrible offensive gameplan in the 1st half put Penn State in hell. They choose to play these big games so tight and conservative, it has worked 1 time, and they needed a blocked field goal late to pull it off.

I don’t know what Penn State does with James Franklin. Players love him, he’s a great recruiter, but just so bad in game. The reality I think is Penn State is just a B tier program. They’re not Ohio State or Michigan or Alabama, or Georgia. They’re Florida, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Oklahoma. Their good years will be a storyline, good years for those first 4 teams are expected and borderline automatic. Is a coach going to change that? Franklin got them back to notoriety, at some point, can Penn State just be okay with that? I don’t know. Hilarious to chant about firing him and then end up in Double OT.

Mike Portnoy is so god damn unintentionally funny. He opened up the draft by saying the worst chore is the one you have to do last. Great background listen.

Maybe not the best show, but Survivor is back.

I’m not sure what I think of this new cast. One of my biggest issues with Survivor, is the cast comes onto the show with so much prior Survivor history and plans. It drives me nuts when someone pulls aside the old lady every year and says I knew I wanted to play with you, like just walking up to a 45 year old woman like she’s Sister Jean. I hope they stay away from the sob stories, in episode 1 they talked about one of the castaways who is on the island while his first child is being born. Brother. They will let you back for another season. Go watch your kid be born. I can’t imagine how his wife feels, if she’s not ripshit, its not a real story. You should be there. Whatever happens in survivor is not worth missing that, especially 600k after taxes.

I like villians in Survivor, I hope that some rise as the season goes on. The first vote out was hilarious, the castaway said they were blindsided, despite talking about how their job was to sniff out liars and crimes. Get over yourself, get on that plane, and go home.
