Week 2 Thoughts

First off no ads this week. The one from last week was bullshit and they screwed me on the payout. I thought we were looking at a record and the report was less than extra cheese at Chipotle. Screw that. You don’t deserve that.

Late post this week as I’m home with a sick baby reeling from 2 weeks at daycare. She is back to herself today so that is awesome. My wife has been a rockstar in the trenches and I have been trying my best to help along the way.

With that I really only watched the Cowboys game Sunday. More on that next

Joe Burrow might retire the biggest what if guy ever. What if he didn’t go to Cincinnati where they don’t know how to protect a QB? What if they somehow snuck out that SB vs the Rams? What if he was made of steel and never got hurt? I have a lot of buddies who are Bengals fans and I feel terrible for them, I know from experience there is nothing worse than a QB getting hurt early in the year. It turns Sundays from joy to angst, and when you start to think he has a chance to come back, you are already a long shot to make the playoffs.

This isn’t an ad because this is the work of my colleagues and I. If you haven’t downloaded PreSnap, you have to. We went 14-2 this week after 12-4 in week 1. Is it always going to be this good? Probably not, but based on what we know, it’s going to be pretty damn close. I have people I haven’t spoken to since elementary school sending screengrabs of the wins they’ve hit using PreSnap. If you bet NFL, you gotta give us a try.

I don’t even know if this is biased. Cowboys Giants was an absolute drunken masterpiece on Sunday. The Cowboys defense is horrid without Micah Parsons, and the Giants were glad to take advantage of that. Just an absolutely ridiculous football game. I came out of the game feeling worse about the Cowboys than I did after their Week 1 Loss. The Defense is terrifyingly bad, but god damn did Dak Prescott look good.

On top of that I think Brandon Aubrey would be worth atleast a first round pick in a trade. He is an absolute Weapon. If he doesn’t retire a Cowboy I will be more upset than after Micah. There is nobody in football that has ever kicked the ball the way he does. They legitimately had to decide whether to punt or kick a 74 yarder in OT and it was probably the wrong decision to punt. Thankfully Russell Wilson finally showed up and threw the game away.

Marketing Genius Jerry Jones has the hottest player in the NFL and doesn’t even sell his jersey online. I would’ve bought 3 on Sunday night after the parlays came in. What a whiff.

This was a while ago but I watched it last week. I love McConaughey, even though Texas Football sucks. Love the way he thinks about life and talks his way through situations. He’s had some good bounces but he seems like he is grateful and very kind in how he works with others.

How bout a Nostalgic game? Sunday had me thinking of this clash between Peyton Manning and Tony Romo. Glad Sunday’s outcome was different.
