Tully Tuesday's Volume #73 Getting Dialed, Moving, Football is almost here
End of July
First off I’m officially down 25 lbs since the baby was born in February. Which is great until I take a step back and realize I was probably up 12 or so from my normal game weight after the winter hibernation. We’ll take the win though.
Football season doesn’t start until someone on your favorite team is feared to be out for the entire season. I went through a tailspin of emotions after this tweet yesterday.
Sources: #Cowboys starting OT Tyler Guyton, who went down in practice today, is feared to have torn his ACL heading into the MRI.
A significant blow to Dallas’ offensive line if tests confirms, as big things were expected of the former first-rounder.

I get reporters have a job to do but can we let a guy shower before we say he’s done for the year? Guyton has reportedly made huge strides in the offseason and is ready to take over protecting Dak Prescott. The Cowboys went through the last few seasons with serious LT questions all stemmed from Training Camp injuries, usually from Tyron Smith. This is not new. My guy Jon Machota pulled me out of the darkness a few hours later.
Cowboys LT Tyler Guyton does not have a torn ACL. It is reportedly a bone fracture. No surgery. A 4-6 week injury

And just like that I can breathe again.
I’m so stoked for football but admittedly have been distracted with my impending move this week. I’m excited to get out of our current disaster, and despite a very pleasant month living with my parents, it will be great to have our own space again. My parents have been very generous and patient, and my mom has been very gracious with some of the interior design decisions I have made in the storage room.
I’ve been in the lab getting dialed. The ChiPutt absolutely rocks. Rolls so nicely and the cups make a great noise when you drop one. Back to moving. I have a nice basement setup. We are moving two TV’s to the new house. The 70 inch will go up on the wall in my living room, and I have a 55 inch that I’m debating whether to mount in the basement or put in the bedroom. We are not big late night TV folks outside of Survivor and American Idol, I watch football obviously but I like to hit the sticks during primetime so that will be a basement spot. My one consideration is maybe getting a budget Projector with apps that I can fill the wall with, anybody have any recs for that situation? The wall is beige so it should be fine without a screen but I want to make sure this isn’t just one of my cracked out ADHD ideas that will fall through.
I got the Club Championship at ACC the next two weekends and I’ve been gearing up for the last week or so. Swing feels great, putter is waking up thanks to the basement sessions. Just need a couple of bounces to go my way and I think I can get to the final 36 hole match if they do. If I can get there I like my chances to out par my opponent over that stretch of holes. One shot at a time, and trying to focus on keeping my mind on each step I take throughout each round. One day at a time.

Best Game I watched this week
I can’t shake the sox right now. They just have something. I don’t think they’re the best team in the AL but they have a real Bruins feel right now. Like they just feel like every game they have a great shot to win. Crochet is such a stud. Sale never dominated long enough to be the next Pedro but Crochet is well on his way. This team needs to add a bat and get the young guys a chance to get their feet wet in the playoffs and then gear up for 26.
Best Thing I Bought this Week
This was a great budget week for me. No big spends. I did get my golf clubs regripped on Thursday because I had a few days where the course was closed. There’s nothing short of new clubs that feels better than fresh grips on your clubs. I’m a V wrap cord guy, love the tack and love the look of them. Highly Recommend. Now I just got to scrub the boys up before the weekend.
Podcast Episode of the Week
Scottie on PMT? That’s a lock for Pod of the Week. Scottie talked about his Open Championship Fart and Win. Relayed my feelings on giving up wins for the Cowboys to win a Super Bowl. There’s nothing not to like about the guy. I feel like I say something about him every week but he’s just the man.
Best Show I’ve Watched this Week
I’ve been on a documentary kick. This one started slow like they all do but then they went into all the different theories about what might’ve happened to Amy on the cruise ship. My main take away is that I am never going on a cruise ship. There is so much sketchy shit going on that I just don’t think I could relax. Not to mention the Poop Cruise that also is on Netflix. No F thank you. Sign me up at a nice gated resort somewhere to get burnt and have Mai Tai’s for 5 days instead.
Bonus pod if you watch the show
Nostalgic Athlete of the Week
Number 73 has to be Larry Allen. He passed away last year unfortunately, but his legend will live as long as football is played. NFL is annoying about clips so I’ll try my best but you might get popped over to youtube.
