New Phones, New Projects

July 22

  • Sorry for the late post today. I spent most of my morning today and my afternoon Yesterday in the Apple Store trying to get my screen repaired. I bought a 16 Pro Max about a month ago and my long-trusted Golf Cart Phone mount failed me on the first hole Saturday. Phone was face down on the cart path which is never a good sign. Picked it up with a corner SpiderMan web and a hash slinging slasher from 1:00 to 8:00 through the center. Brutal start to the day. Shot 81, made 3 doubles from inside 150 yards. Bad. Good Rally Sunday 74 to get myself in contention, feel pretty good going into the Club Champ in two weeks.
Back to my phone. I run ios26 because I’m an elite mind, this was supposedly not a problem for my repair. I went to eat lunch near the store and realized I didn’t have apple pay or my wallet. Great. I go back at my slotted time to pick up and I was sat down by the Apple tech as if I was at the Veterinarian being told my options for an aging dog with multiple tumors. My phone was cooked. The screen won’t turn on. She told me they were overnighting one to the store and I could pick up this morning. Bad draw, but I was patient and said okay can you make me whole for my troubles? Got a little gift card put on my account and went back to work.
Today I show up and the phone was not there. They said tomorrow. I go Karen. Manager. Let’s battle. The Manager came over seeing my frustration and told me he was going to personally get it figured out. They set me up for a return and a new phone and as I’m getting more and more frustrated, he gets a message that the FedEx truck is there. My man Dave goes to the truck and sifts through the packages and finds my replacement phone. We got it hooked up and a half hour later I was good to go. Shoutout Market Street Apple. I was ready to go bananas, and they hooked it up.

New Project for the Boys

As I mentioned last week, we are launching LockedIN ML for the upcoming football season. This app will have all of our picks and host the Thursday blog that we had throughout last season. This will be a free app with all the NFL Game news you would need and see on multiple channels aggregated into one friendly interface inside of LockedIN ML. We will also have a paywall (TT discount incoming) for our premium algorithm picks, from our system that correctly predicted 73% winners last season, and was above the profit line for Spreads and Totals as well.

With that our Monday’s and Thursday’s will feature some fun. RoadMap will be hosting live streams online for our audience to engage and learn about the weeks game. I will be hosting both shows, with Monday being a recap of the NFL Week, with pick results, bad beats, one bet short parlays, and more. Thursday will be our more traditional picks show, going through the LockedIN ML app to talk about games, and giving away one or two premium picks per week. Stay tuned for more info, I am super excited about this project and think we can create something really big with LockedIN ML.

Get ready to Lock In.

Best Thing I Bought this week

New Category this week, one I should’ve had for a while. I got my ChiPutt. It ROCKS. Justin and the team had it next day’d after last week and hooked me up with a referral code for the T2ers. Shoutout Dunney for the name. Use code Tully5 or shop at https://thechiputt.com/DISCOUNT/TULLY5 for a little love on your purchase.

The green rolls at a legit 10, and after a couple days of smoothing it out it is the best replica of a real green I’ve tried. I got the 11 × 3 mat and can’t wait to move out of my parent’s house to put in my new basement. It has a nice 3 foot by 2 foot extension to chip from, use as an extension, of the green or stand on. I’ve been rolling the rock late night and getting dialed in the lab the last week or so. If you are looking for an easy and storable option that won’t get flagged on your CC try it out.

Best Game I watched this week: Scottie Scheffler is awesome blog of the week section.

I didn’t get to watch much of the open with baby, work, and golf this weekend but I caught most of Scottie on Saturday and Sunday. What a Machine. Just mowing through the course without breaking a sweat. I asked my golfing buddies if he is the clear #2 in our lifetime behind Tiger, and really only got one or two objections (Rory). Scottie isn’t on a run, this is 3 years of outstanding golf and domination. He is clearly the best player in the world and doesn’t feature the volatility that those before him have, (Rory, DJ, Spieth, Bryson, and so on). I root for all the Cowboy fan golfers, and I root for him above all. What a guy, what a golfer, what a Champion.

Podcast Episode of the Week/ Golf Tip of the Week

I was in the putting darkness last week and this drill pulled me out. I was dialed after practicing this on the mat and on the green before my Sunday round. I got a lesson Thursday and was fixing some stroke mechaninics that bled into my Saturday round. I got on the mat and on the warmup green and had no 3 putts and no misses inside 6 feet on Sunday. Fax even gives a shoutout to Mike Menery, who I credit with the foundation of my golf swing when we’d go up to the range so he could pack a skoal and hang out, best of the best kind of guy.

Best Show I’ve Watched this Week

I actually have 2 documentaries I watched this week.

The first is Titan

My man Stockton had an absolute death wish. There was no reason any human should have been in that Submarine after their testing. They never even tested on the depth they were going to with the new sub. Crazy jaw dropping negligence that cost several people their lives. A little long IMO but a good look and a lot of BTS footage from OceanGate.

The second was Trainwreck Balloon Boy. I remember this story vividly. The Dad is a legit insane person. You went to middle school with a guy like him. He clearly doesn’t have all his marbles, the wife does whatever he says, and he is a pathological liar. The doc is pretty interesting by the way they frame the days leading up to and after the saga. The Dad is clearly trying to make the news with a big story and is clearly lying about it being a set up. They do a good job of showing how you could give them the BOTD and think it was a true accident, but the family is just so off, there is no way this wasn’t a stunt. Also Falcon is such a wild name for a child, but it’s kind of sick.

Nostalgic Athlete of the Week

I love Scottie. But don’t forget the GOAT. Don’t Compare the GOAT.
