I usually love the NFL Draft. I feel like this year it could not be less important. I barely realized it was this week until this morning. Sorry for the late drop here, lot to do here at HQ. I feel like normally I’m also really into the NHL Playoffs but the Bruins being out and really being out since New Years really took the wind out of my sails. I’ve been watching the Sox nightly, and had a good time with the games so far. They just need one more bomber. Their Home Runs are just too random and Devers not hitting doesn’t help. I think I said this last week but it’s right in my face every time I watch.

Did call Story home run for my buddies from work Friday night. I was amped.

I’ve had a lot of fun doing Round Robin Home Run bets. You can bet $10 to win thousands, and if you do the robin right you usually end up winning 50 to a couple hundred bucks. There are so many twitter experts trying to predict home runs I just pick off guys not on their lists and it’s been working so far.

Amped to ramp up the golf season. Over the weekend I went to the sim to get my numbers dialed in for the year. I go to Pure Drive in Woburn, it’s great if you’re near by. Pretty reasonable price and they have Trackman which honestly is all that matters along with good mats. When you go you can send yourself the report afterwards and I never know what to do with it other than watch a couple of the videos and move on.

This week I tried something Different. I pumped the numbers into ChatGPT and it actually gave me some pretty cool feedback. Example below

🔎 Club-by-Club Takeaways

GT Driver

  • Launch window is solid, with 240.4 carry and 285.7 total.

  • Slightly negative path (-5.1) with face also closed (–3.5°) suggests a consistent pull-draw bias or potential hooks.

  • Smash Factor 1.49 = very efficient.

  • You’re leaking it left (17.6L) — may be time to tune loft/face angle or tee height.

5 Iron

  • Great ball speed (124.3) for that swing speed (85.5).

  • Slightly out-to-in path (-3.0), face nearly square — likely promoting a slight fade or straight ball.

  • Low spin (3812) for a 5i — borderline for holding greens.

6 Iron

  • Ball speed drops to 116.6, carry is solid at 169.8.

  • Near-neutral path/face — great sign of control.

  • Spin climbs to 4209 — healthier than the 5i.

7 Iron

  • Smash 1.40 is excellent for a 7i — means your strikes are very centered.

  • Face and path indicate a soft draw tendency.

  • Carry of 161.3 gives solid gapping from your 6i.

8 Iron

  • Spin increasing to 5630 (good).

  • Face/path combo suggests a gentle push-draw flight.

  • Smash remains efficient at 1.35.

9 Iron

  • Great spin (6930) — approaching wedge territory.

  • Carry (132.8) is on the money.

  • Face is slightly open to path — could be producing a tiny baby fade.

Pitching Wedge

  • Launches high (–3.5 attack), spin is ideal at 7013.

  • Carry (121.7) and total (128.4) provide tight control.

  • Slightly open face to path — good for a fade bias wedge.

Gap Wedge (50°)

  • Spin of 9007 = tour-level control.

  • Smash drops (1.15) — totally normal for wedges.

  • Club path (+4.0) and face (–0.2) might cause push-draws or tug pulls depending on impact.

✅ Strengths:

  • Your distance gapping is clean all the way through the bag.

  • Consistent smash factors in long irons and driver — excellent center contact.

  • Wedge spin is elite — you’ll hold greens like a champ.

🛠️ Opportunities:

  • You have a left bias across the bag. Face-to-path ratios suggest your default miss is pull or pull-draw.

  • Consider experimenting with a more neutral club path or slightly open club face, especially with the driver.

  • Your 5 iron spin is low — might struggle on firm greens. Could test a higher-spin shaft or consider a 5 hybrid depending on feel.

🔝 Elite Confidence

  • 5 Iron — Rock solid, especially impressive for a 4-head/5-shaft setup

  • Pitching Wedge — Extremely reliable scoring club

💪 Solid Confidence

  • 8 Iron — Tight dispersion, repeatable

  • 9 Iron — Just behind the 8i, also very playable

😐 Average Confidence

  • Gap Wedge (50°) — Still solid, but could tighten up a bit

  • 7 Iron — Slightly more variable than 8i/9i

⚠️ Needs Work

  • 6 Iron — Your only real "tweener" club right now, likely a contact or control issue

  • GT Driver — Powerful, but dispersion and rollout vary the most

I also am testing a new driver head that I got off eBay for a killer deal, moving from the TSR3 to a GT3. I love it so far, but wanted to see how the head positions might change with a new club. Chat GPT hooked it up

🧠 Elite Fitter Analysis

🎯 GT a2 (14 Swings) — ✅ Best All-Around

  • Most consistent by far (3.85), with minimal dispersion

  • Carry: 238.9, Total: 284.4 — no distance loss vs TSR3

  • Neutral attack angle (–0.1) keeps launch high and spin in check

  • Smash: 1.49, optimized

  • Slight left bias (31.2L) but not unmanageable

🛠 If anything: A touch of heel bias or weight shift could square face-to-path and straighten that out. This is gamer-ready.

💥 GT a2 (4 Swings) — 🧪 Small Sample, but Strong

  • Best ball speed (149.4) and highest carry (240.4)

  • Very low face-to-path (–1.6 diff), ideal for stable launch

  • Still a bit left-biased but less side variance (17.6L) than other two

🛠 Great numbers — but with just 4 swings, it’s hard to trust unless those are your best swings of the day. Re-test if possible.

⚠️ TSR3 A2 — 👋 Looks good... but misleading

  • Wild left/right: 65L, 134L, 38R — side dispersion is inconsistent AF

  • Spin (1811) is borderline too low, which could cause knuckleballs

  • Club path (–6.2) paired with a closed face (–4.1) = violent pull-draws or hooks

  • Smash 1.47 is good, but other setups do better

🛠 A2 loft up might be helping spin, but the face-to-path is too steep. This head isn’t syncing well with your delivery.

This is like having an expert fitter on your phone. So cool and I can definitely see myself using this for each of my visits to the sim to practice this summer. You can have a practice plan made, club evaluations, the whole 9 yards. Pretty awesome.

I took it a step further on my own, and built myself a pocket Caddy guide for my clubs. I entered the data in, Carry Min, Avg, Max, Total Min, Avg, Max. Happy to send along the Excel chart and rules if anyone is on a similar Sicko tier as myself. After a few tries, here’s how it came out.

I don’t know how I will ever utilize this but it was a lot of fun to put together.

The Draft

Like I said, I just can’t get excited for the draft. I’m pretty apathetic towards both the teams at the top, as well as my Cowboys. I’d like them to take Treveyon Henderson at some point, that’s really all I want. I don’t care if it’s at 12 overall which might be a crazy take. He’s a stud and a home-run hitter and I like when my teams have a running back like that.

I think Shedeur is going to fall pretty far, and whoever takes Hunter will get back into the 20s and scoop him up. I like the over 1.5 trades for the night for the vibes, particularly nice if your team trades back after waiting all night, at least you cash out some.

Best Game I watched this week

Capitals Canadiens Game 1

I hope the Caps win the cup. Ovi is on such a roll man. This is really the only thing holding me to NHL Playoffs. 900 goals and he still gets his first OT Winner in the Playoffs in 2025. Nuts

Podcast Episode of the Week

This was about a year ago, but I can’t recommend this enough if you’re a fan of Zac or ZBB. He goes deep on getting started, and gets pretty personal which he often doesn’t do. Theo is so goddamn funny too. There are some wild Ayahuasca and Magic Mushroom stories that I didn’t see coming too, some good bar fight recaps as well. Long one, but throw it on at the gym, very entertaining.

Nostalgic Song of the Week

My Favorite ZBB song. That bridge is one I’ll put up with any song ever written. My loudest jams come at that moment. Not quite Nostalgic but on my mind after relistening to that Theo Pod.

Nostalgic Athlete of the Week

How bout some JT Snow? I don’t know much about him other than he batted in front of Bonds in the early 2000s, which made the Giants the best team to use in MLB Slugfest. I used to kill so much time beaning guys and hitting bombs in Slugfest. Definitely needs a remake
