Tully Tuesday's Volume 57

We’ve made it to golf season. In New England that means about a month of freezing your ass off in the wind, playing against guys with inflated Florida Handicaps, and maybe getting out once or twice a week because it’s probably raining every day. But this is the appetizer for a summer well spent. After 6 months trapped inside there’s nothing better than a stiff breeze and a little sun hitting the side of your face while you’re chopping it up with the fellas. As Hillary Duff elegantly said, this is what dreams are made of.

Other updates in my life, as a known Chipotle Boy I need to put you on to the Chipotle Honey Chicken. I have quite a vanilla chipotle order but I love when the black shirts throw you a special, I’ve tried the Carne Asada, I’ve loved the Chicken Al Pastor in the past, but my friend let me tell you about the Honey Chicken. A little kick, and a little hug and just a beautiful marinade really gets the juices flowing. I’ve long advocated for Chipotle to incorporate some sauces to the menu, maybe a Chipotle Ranch? A creamy Jalepeno sauce? They refuse to stoop to the levels where Qdoba and Moe’s swim. I respect that. But often I’m left with a stomach ache from eating the hot salsa and an unsatisfied taste in my mouth. The CHC gets it done, and does the very noble job of flavoring the rice so you get the perfect bite. Give it a whirl. It rocks.

I don’t care about the Torpedo Bats. I think it’s cool when there are innovations that make athletes better on the field. I have an entire piano size crate in my car of golf clubs and training aids, we’re in the improvement business here folks. Like every trend in baseball the pitchers will figure out how to beat this and regulate, but for now shut up and enjoy some dingers.

I need to decorate my battle station, but I have a lifelong rivalry with frames, and I’m well overdue for some work in that department I have artwork that would work great and just haven’t had the inspiration to take the 15 minutes to put it up. Stay Tuned.

I traded in a few clubs in exchange for my new Lab Oz.1i putter. I know it’s unlikely but there’s a non-zero chance I never miss again. There’s nothing like a new club in the bag especially a putter. I need to come up with a signature celebration to go along with all of the birdies I am going to make this year. I’d like something similar to the Fat Perez Eurostep but maybe a little more subtle, maybe just a shoulder shrug

We gotta workshop some options. I got to find the line between just slightly pissing off the guy you’re playing but not enough that he schedules a therapy call in between holes, the former is the goal.
