Tully Tuesday's 56: A Champion's Dinner for Runner Ups
I can’t believe I missed this last year, but it’s time to layout my Masters Meal.

I’m as big a Scottie Scheffler guy as there is, and to be honest, he nailed this. There’s not a miss on here. Even through in the Ravioli bites he cut his hand making at Christmas that’s a loose move. Big fan.
I think I could sit at this dinner and have the time of my life with this menu. But that’s no fun. Let’s get into it

Yes, my inner Wop can’t be tamed. I want all my favorite Italian foods at the table. I had some close cuts, Filet Mignon Fajitas, Chili con Queso, Texas Style Chili from Hard Times in Virginia, but not everybody gets the green jacket boys. Maybe next year.
The Appetizers are probably my wildest options, but god damn if you haven’t had the Grilled Provolone at Lost Fire in Cape Porpoise, you need to make a weekend out of it. My family has moved out of our Summer home up in Maine and I’d be lying if that wasn’t one of the top things I will miss this summer. I’ve been dying to try the viral Italian Sushi and I think I’m gonna make some for Easter.
EDIT: I have received word that Crab Rangoons do not actually contain crab. We are adjusting the Rangoon to an open faced Crab Tostada. The firm apologizes for the oversight
On the pasta, Penne gets a lot of the attention on the Vodka sauce, it’s just not the best Vehicle for Vodka Sauce, a fat Toni is where you need to be going, extra bonus for some thick bites of pancetta in the sauce. You wouldn’t send men to the moon in a Civic.
Where did I miss? Certainly not dessert. Those are two home run options, however both do have a bit of a moderation issue, as I have cleared out a tray of each in one sitting. Christmas time is bulking season for ol TT5.
The Masters Champions dinner has to be a Top 2? golf experience that only so many will ever enjoy, I’d read a book just recapping notes from each yearly dinner. Maybe Phil will go broke and write it some day. We can only hope.
Baby life is going great, the unit is sleeping longer over night, eating good, and just being cute all day every day. My biggest surprise so far is that I would much rather change her diaper than feed her. The Diaper is a quick efficient no frills process, were in there to execute the mission and get out. The Feeding is a long, anxiety riddled process where you are on high alert, often uncomfortable, preparing for a wave of spit up to projectile launch, and best case scenario it hits you in the chest and keeps the couch clean. Quite a different experience than I was expecting.
I pulled the trigger on the Lab Putter after trading in a few of my trusty weapons for a clean no cash swap, so I guess I’m not going to miss anything inside 10 feet this year. I think I’ll still get to play a lot of golf because my wife is cool and wants me to, but I do think my practice windows will be few and far between. The office putting matt will have more tee times than usual this year and I’m okay with that.
Honestly the photoshop on the Masters menu took way longer than I expected so that’s all for this week. The Course is open April 1 so some good golf tales are ahead and we’ll have some Masters bets ready to rock.
Til Next Week,
TT
